Hoppers hoping to find win column tonight against Flash

The Hoptown Hoppers’ 2025 summer baseball season hasn’t gone as planned through the first circuit of the Ohio Valley League.

The Hoppers are the only winless team in the league at 0-5 and tonight they take on the Henderson Flash, who whipped the Hoppers 17-7 in the league opener last Saturday night in Henderson.

Both teams are coming off an off day. The Hoppers fell to the Fulton Railroaders 3-2 on Wednesday night on the road. The loss spoiled a great pitching performance from former Trigg County High School star Aidon Butts.

Pitching hasn’t been the problem so far this season for Hoptown. It’s been the hitting as the Hoppers have managed only five hits and scored two runs in their last two games.

Henderson enters tonight’s game after defeating Madisonville 11-10 in a slugfest on Wednesday night.

First pitch for tonight’s game is 6:30 p.m. with airtime at 6:15 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
