With only about three weeks before opening night for the Hoptown Hoppers, the organization announced its first two players on the 2026 roster Thursday morning.
Ross Carter is a right-handed pitcher from Somerset. He plays college baseball at Midway University.
Carter pitched nine innings for the Eagles this spring and had a 6.00 ERA. He struck out six and walked four.
The second Hopper announced Thursday played with the Hoptown squad in 2025. Cole Reynolds is an infielder from Somerset, who plays collegiately at Cumberlands. Reynolds hit .259 with four RBI for the Patriots.
The Hoppers’ season opener is scheduled for May 29 at home against the Madisonville Miners. All home games in 2026 will be played at Hopkinsville High School.
