Hopkinsville High School announced on Wednesday the hiring of Shawn Jones as its archery coach for the 2025-26 season.
A 2004 graduate of Christian County High School, Jones, who is a veteran of the Marines, has been serving as the Tigers’ assistant archery coach.
Jones said his daughter in involved with archery and wanted him to coach the team.
“That made the decision even more meaningful,” Jones said in a news release from Christian County Public Schools.
HHS Athletic Director Jacob Ezell said Jones would be a great addition to the Tiger athletics program.
“He has done great things with assisting the HHS archery program and we’re looking forward to the same success and leadership moving forward as the head coach,” Ezell said in the release.
