Only one night remains for the 74th annual WHOP Rotary Radio Auction, and they’re looking for a big push to finish up the night, with proceeds set to benefit local students.
The Rotary Scholars program has been providing students attending Hopkinsville Community College with two-years of free tuition since 2012, and this auction is the most successful one in the world, thanks to the more than generous contributions from the community. Auction Chair Kelly Gates says they can’t express their gratitude enough, as it allows Rotary to provide for local youth at all grade levels with grants and programs.
The auction continues tonight at 6 p.m. and will run until all auction items are sold—the diner and sweet shops are open for business and you can always donate to the Hour and Goat Clubs, if nothing on the auction strikes your fancy. But it’s likely something will, with plenty of items up for grabs, and they can be viewed and bid on online on bolingerrealestate.com.
You can listen in as Rotary closes out this year’s auction right here on WHOP 98.7 Lite FM, or you can follow along on the Hopkinsville Rotary Club Facebook page and website.
