Hopkinsville Police arrested 57-year-old Gloria Copeland of Hopkinsville after she reportedly stabbed a victim during an argument on Saturday night.
According to a report, officers responded to a residence on Copperfield Avenue and at the scene they made contact with the victim who was standing outside of the apartment and was wearing a shirt covered in blood. The victim reportedly told officers that they got into an argument with Copeland which led to her cutting them with a knife and biting them multiple times.
The victim reportedly had lacerations to their left arm and bite marks to their right arm and stomach. Copeland allegedly told officers that she acted in self defense but did not remember the incident.
Officers also reported that Copeland had slurred speech, glassy bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol coming from her person.
Copeland was transported to the Christian County Jail and charged with second-degree assault.
