Hopkinsville High School’s FFA chapter commererated the hard word of chapter members throughout the year with a banquet on Tuesday, May 13.
During the banquet families and special guests joined together to celebrate chapter accomplishments with a meal, music from the Hopkinsville High School Jazz band and an awards presentation.
Laney Chaudoin, a member of the Hopkinsville FFA chapter, says the event was about spotlighting their community. Chaudoin says she was happy to celebrate the graduating chapter seniors and to recognize the members that participated in career development events.
The chapter banquet also celebrated the inaugural Junior Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Sciences and Related Sciences (MANRRS) chapter. Jr. MANRRS is a national organization focused on preparing students interested in pursuing careers in agriculture, mathematics, technology and other STEM related professions.
Looking toward next year, Chaudoin says she is excited to see what is in store and knows it will be a great year for everyone who chooses to get involved.
Awards were handed out to scholarship recipients, Murray State Field Day participants, FFA Speaking Day participants and many others.
