The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that a highway widening project on KY 181 in Muhlenberg County is set to start on Monday.Â
According to a news release, KY 181 will be widened by eight feet between Depot Street and the Western Kentucky Parkway. While work is underway, motorists should expect lane closures with alternating traffic flows.
Then, beginning in June, that portion of KY 181 will be closed for around 60 days to allow crews to construct concrete box culverts and remove a hill impacting the project.
