In a high school volleyball match featuring two teams expected to vie for the Region 2 championship, host Christian County dropped a 3-1 decision to Henderson County on Monday night.
Christian County looked impressive in its first set, winning 25-10.
However, Henderson regrouped and won the next three sets 25-16, 25-21, 25-18 and improved to 4-1 on the year.
Kaidence Atwell had a big game for Christian County at the net with 11 kills and three blocks. Carlie Armstrong and Katie Cansler each had seven kills with Armstrong adding three blocks and Cansler adding 18 dkigs.
Kiley Lambert had five kills and Jazzy Tejada provided five blocks.
Christian County (3-3), which plays host to Madisonville-North Hopkins tonight, also saw Ashlea Russell earn 17 assists and 18 digs and Shiloh Baker had 14 digs.
