It’s the most wonderful time of the year—at least that’s what the graduates felt during the fall 2025 commencements for Hopkinsville Community College on Friday.
There was two ceremonies Friday, along with a pinning ceremony for the nursing students, and it was a packed house in the HCC Auditorium Building. HCC awarded 730 credentials to the graduating class, including associate degrees, diplomas and certifications.
That’s something to be proud of, says Student Government Association President Jessica Jones, and she believes that shows both how determined the students are to achieve their goals, and how HCC is a place designed to help students succeed.
She highlighted how she returned to her educational path later in life, after working, having children and more, and that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the community college.
Faculty member, Mathematics Professor Sarah Jackman congratulated the students on their achievement, saying they truly impressed her in their efforts.
President and CEO Dr. Alissa Young had an important question for the graduates—what will you do with the life you’ve been given, now that you’ve completed this big step? She has confidence that it will be something spectacular.
Hopkinsville Community College is entering their 61st year, and Dr. Young says she’s excited to see what the future holds for both the students, and the college, in the years to come.
