A day before she is set to graduate, Heritage Christian Academy senior softball player Madison Warren signed a letter-of-intent to play next season at Brescia University in Owensboro.
It was a moment that almost didn’t happen for the senior pitcher and infielder because she thought about not playing her senior season at HCA.
Not only did she decide to play, but she and several of her teammates began recruiting friends and other HCA athletes to join the team to make sure they had a 2025 season. The Warriors finished 6-9 this season before being eliminated from the District 8 Tournament Monday by Christian County.
Warren said she was excited about her opportunity to play for the Bearcats and continue her athletic and scholastic career.
The senior hit .644 with 29 hits, 28 RBI and 25 stolen bases this season for the Lady Warriors.
Warren said her dad and teammate Ava DeJager helped her put in the work to improve this season.
Warren said she plans to study business and sports marketing in college.
