It may be early in the volleyball season, but the defending Region 2 champion Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors are back on the top of the District 8 standings.
HCA moved to 2-0 in district play with a hard-fought four-set win over visiting Fort Campbell on Tuesday night.
The Lady Warriors won the opening set 25-12 and then easily grabbed the second set 25-10 before the Lady Falcons regrouped and took the third set 25-21.
HCA turned back any upset hopes by Fort Campbell by winning the fourth set in a nailbiter 25-23.
Heritage improves to 5-3 overall and is scheduled to play host to Crittenden County on Thursday night.
