Heritage Christian Academy has turned to a familiar face to lead its varsity volleyball program.
Athletics Director Matt McGowan said in a news release on Monday morning that Will Bruce will take over the program, which is coming off a District 8 and Region 2 championship a year ago under the direction of Grace Stewart.
McGowan said Bruce has served as an assistant coach for HCA in the past before moving to Nashville. While in Nashville, Bruce coached at both the middle school and high school levels as well as with various travel teams.
Stewart, who resigned after the season to spend more time with family, coached HCA to a 24-6 record in 2024 and won the school’s first Region 2 title in only its second year of KHSAA volleyball. The Lady Warriors also captured the District 8 championship.
