HCA completes play at All ‘A’ State Volleyball Tournament

The Heritage Christian Academy volleyball team dropped all four of its matches in the Touchstone Energy All “A” State Tournament over the weekend in Owensboro.

In its Bronze Medal Bracket game Saturday, the Lady Warriors fell 2-0 (25-18, 25-16) to Eminence.

Earlier Saturday, HCA dropped a 2-0 decision to Raceland in the third and final pool play game. The Lady Warriors fell 25-15, 25-18.

Bralee Fowler had eight kills and three digs and Hadlee Hayes had two kills and nine digs. Avery Lake had three aces and seven digs.

The Lady Warriors began play against Region 13 champion Williamsburg early Friday evening in the first pool play match and fell 25-21, 25-19.

Fowler had 10 kills and 11 digs to lead the Lady Warriors. Hayes had three kills and 13 digs. Makenzie McCarty provided 13 assists, a block, and nine digs and Taylor Barbee had nine digs and two kills.

Later on Friday, HCA took on Region 14 champion Knott County Central and dropped the match 25-13, 27-25.

Hayes had six kills and 15 digs while Fowler provided four kills, a block, and three digs. McCarty had 12 assists, three aces, and four digs and Barbee had 12 digs.

HCA drops to 9-10 on the season and will play host to McLean County tonight.
