In 2020, Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary became a nonprofit focused on rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming pets. Friday marks the sanctuary’s sixth anniversary, and to celebrate, they are hosting an adoption party.
The sanctuary is located in White Plains and takes in cats, dogs and horses. Friday not only marks the sanctuary’s anniversary, but Director CJ Hale says the day also marks her birthday and the birthday of one of their dogs, Zeus, who is available for adoption.
The adoption event is on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at PetSmart in Hopkinsville. Hale says she is looking forward to celebrating the sanctuary’s anniversary with the community and finding forever homes for their adoptable dogs and cats. Some of Haven 12:10’s ambassador dogs will also be at the celebration, and Hale says they enjoy interacting with community members.
Hale says she can’t believe they will be celebrating the sanctuary’s sixth birthday, and it feels like it was just yesterday when she and her husband had 19 animals and decided to start the nonprofit.
