Three Hopkinsville High School players were in double figures led by Jonathan Hart’s 23 points and the Tigers pulled away from visiting Webster County 74-57 Tuesday night in a boys’ basketball game.
Hart was on fire from behind the arc, as he connected on six long-range shots.
The Tigers blew open a close game at halftime by outscoring the Trojans 22-12 in the third quarter to take control.
Jonathan Leavell added 14 points and DeAvery Ramey provided 12 for the Tigers, who improved to 2-4 on the season. James Bradley Jr., also had 10 points for Hoptown.
The victory ended a three-game losing streak for the Tigers. The Trojans, who were led by Micah Austin’s 18 points, have now lost four games in a row and fell to 3-4 on the season.
Hopkinsville is back in action Thursday night at Madisonville-North Hopkins.
