Governor Andy Beshear was recently included in TIME Magazine’s 100 Next list which highlights emerging leaders across multiple fields.
The list recognizes artists, phenoms, advocates, leaders and innovators. Beshear was among the leaders recognized and he was spotlighted by senior TIME correspondent, Phillip Elliot.
Elliot wrote that when Beshear won reelection last year he did so by portraying himself as a post-partisan leader. He also shared that it was no surprise when Beshear made the list as a potential running mate for Democratic Presidential Candidate Kamala Harris.
During Beshear’s tenure as governor, Elliot wrote that medical cannabis is set to be legalized, Medicaid coverage has expanded and he remains committed to helping Kentuckians impacted by recent floods and tornadoes.
