Girls’ Sweet 16 Bracket released on Friday

The Bracket for the 2025 Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Girls’ Basketball Sweet 16 Tournament was released on Friday afternoon with the Region 2 champion scheduled to open the against another western Kentucky opponent.

The Region 2 champion will take on the Region 1 winner in the first round on Thursday, March 13, at Rupp Arena.

Henderson County (22-4) is currently the top team in Region 2 and ranked No. 8 in the RPI. Graves County (23-2) is the top team in Region 1 and ranked No. 5.

Crittenden County, Lyon County, and Christian County round out the top four-ranked teams in Region 2. Calloway County and Marshall County also are among the top teams in Region 1.

The winner of the first round game will advance to play the winner of Region 3 and Region 12 champion. Owensboro Catholic is currently the top ranked team in Region 3 and West Jessamine is the top ranked team in Region 12.

The Region 4 champion will meet the Region 10 winner in the first round on Wednesday, March 12.

Franklin-Simpson is ranked No. 3 in the RPI and is the top-ranked team in Region 4. The top ranked team in Region 10 is George Rogers Clark at No.16.

Other first-round games on Wednesday, March 12, have the Region 16 winner facing the Region 13 champion in the opening game. The Region 11 winner is scheduled to face the Region 8 champ and the Region 14 winner will take on the Region 5 champion.

In the other first round games on Thursday, March 13, Region 15 meets Region 7 and Region 6 takes on Region 9.
