Garden and Outdoor Living Expo coming to Hopkinsville in April

The Master Garden’s Association is inviting the community to come learn all you could need to know about gardening and get the growing season started off right with the Garden and Outdoor Living Expo.

It’s set for April 11 and April 12 at the Christian County Extension Expo Center at 2850 Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville. Kelly Jackson with the Master Gardener’s says the event is free to enter and they’ll have gardening experts on hand with advice and resources.

He says there will be native plants for sale, experts on vegetable growing on hand, tool sharpening booths and more.

The Christian County Master Gardener’s Association has roughly 70 members, and the next class will soon be held in the fall to welcome in new gardeners.

Jackson says it’s a 13-week course that culminates in an exam to see what you’ve learned—and upon passage, you become a ‘master gardener’, though Jackson says the learning never really stops.
