The National Weather Service in Paducah is putting out a Freeze Warning for late Friday night into Saturday morning, which means sensitive vegetation is in jeopardy.
The Freeze Warning will cover most of western Kentucky and will be in effect from 1 a.m. through 9 a.m. Saturday as temperatures will plummet down into the lower 30’s, maybe even into the 20’s. Frost and freeze conditions could kills any young and sensitive plants, so take steps now to protect those plants from the cold.
Our cold snap won’t last long, with cool temperatures sticking around for the weekend, but then rebounding back all the way into the 80’s by Monday.
