Fort Campbell soldiers are gearing up to conduct full-scale exercises to evaluate the military installation’s ability to respond to realistic emergency scenarios on Wednesday.
Fort Campbell Spokesperson Brian Sipp says the exercises are essential in ensuring that Fort Campbell is always prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies and to also identify their response strengths and weaknesses.
Residents may see an increase in first responders as well as signs detouring traffic from exercise areas. The exercise will include law enforcement, medical responders and damage assessment.
