After nearly five years of construction and renovations, Fort Campbell Middle School is set to open to students in August for the 2025-26 academic year.
The middle school was established in the footprint of the old Fort Campbell High School which closed its doors in 2018. According to Fort Campbell, the school includes 69,000 square feet of building demolition and 41,000 square feet of renovations to the olds structure.
The school is set to accommodate 700 students and will include a newly constructed lab, special education classroom, counseling offices, performance area, information center, heath services area, administration area and offices as well as 35 studios. Then the gym, cafeteria and common area have been renovated.
In a video posted to Fort Campbell’s Facebook page, Marshall Biter with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers describes the school as high tech which is a part of DODEA’s 21st century learning concept.
As construction concludes, administrators are already in the building preparing for the upcoming school year.
