Former Tiger Sharp signs with Toronto Raptors

Former Hopkinsville High School basketball player Jamarion Sharp has a new home as he continues his quest to play in the National Basketball Association.

According to The Sporting News, the Toronto Raptors recently signed the 7-foot-5, 235-pound center and assigned him to their Summer League roster.

The 24-year-old signed and played one season at John A. Logan College before playing two seasons at Western Kentucky and his final college year at Ole Miss.

He went undrafted into the NBA in 2024 but was signed by the Dallas Mavericks. He has yet to play a game at the highest level in the regular season.

Sharp has spent the past couple seasons in the G League with the Texas Legends, and he was the G League Defensive Player of the Year in 2026.

In 2025-26, Sharp averaged 7.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.8 blocks per game in the G League.
