A fiery, single-vehicle crash in Clarksville at Ashland City Road and U.S. 41-A shut down the roadway for several hours as crews worked to extinguish the blaze Wednesday.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, it happened a few minutes before 6 p.m. when a pickup truck went off the roadway for an unknown reason, entered a tree line and caught fire. The Bypass was closed between Old Ashland City Road and Highway 12 for nearly three hours as crews worked to control the fire.
The driver of the vehicle did sustain minor injuries, but was not transported.
