A two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of the Eagle Way Bypass and Cox Mill Road Thursday evening resulted in injuries.
According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Demarius Poindexter of Hopkinsville was driving west on the bypass approaching the Cox Mill Road intersection. Betty Walker of Hopkinsville was driving south on the bypass and attempting to turn left onto the road.
Walker reportedly told first responders that she was unsure if the light was green or red before she turned which led to her colliding with Poindexter’s vehicle. Poindexter reportedly told first responders that his light was green and believes that a large truck passing through the intersection may have blocked Walker’s vision before she turned.
Poindexter and a passenger in his car were uninjured. Walker suffered a laceration to her hand and was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
