Duvall named superintendent of Owensboro Public Schools

The Owensboro Public School System announced that Wendy Duvall was unanimously voted by their education board to serve as the district’s 21st superintendent starting in July.

According to the announcement, Duvall took on the role after spending the last three years as the assistant superintendent of Todd County Schools where she oversaw personnel, federal programs and title funds.

Prior to working as an assistant superintendent, Duvall served as the principal of Hopkinsville Middle School for 14 years and earlier in her career she worked as a middle school math, science and social studies teacher in Tennessee and Kentucky.

Duvall says she is looking forward to meeting the rest of the staff she has not had the opportunity to meet yet and getting right to work, and she also thanked the education board for having confidence and faith in her to lead the Owensboro Public School System.
