Things will stay warmer than average temperature wise this week, before two chances for rain move in and cool things down.
Justin Gibbs with the National Weather Service in Paducah on Monday morning says it’ll be pretty nice throughout the work week, but then heading into the weekend there will be a chance of rain each day, before a bigger chance for rain moves in Halloween week.
That could bring a decent chance for rain, though nothing severe in the forecast at this time, and Gibbs says it will really cool things down.
Gibbs says that rain will be really beneficial, if it comes through, for areas that are starting to feel drought effects.
Gibbs says it’s to be determined, with more details to be ironed out, but he’s thinking we could see our first freeze heading into November, bringing the growing season for the year.
