Following a traffic stop, 40-year-old Maurice Ward of Hendersonville, Tennessee was arrested for outstanding warrants, narcotics trafficking and weapon violations on Tuesday.
According to a report, deputies witnessed Ward commit a traffic violation as he was leaving the Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel. As deputies were investigating, a K9 unit was deployed and reportedly discovered fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
Ward was charged with disregarding a stop sign, failure to signal, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of restricted ammunition during a felony and two counts of failing to appear in court.
