Dawson Springs sprints past Lady Warriors

Dawson Springs jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back and defeated Heritage Christian Academy 47-11 Thursday night in a girls’ basketball game.

The contest tipped off the Toyota of Hopkinsville Holiday Hoops Classic at  Hopkinsville HIgh School.

The Lady Panthers (2-2) led 18-3 after one quarter and stretched their advantage to 31-7 at halftime.

The running clock was implemented near the end of the third quarter as Dawson led 45-9 entering the fourth period.

Both teams managed just one basket in the final 8 minutes.

Kynlee Henderson led the Lady Warriors (0-4) with seven points and Ava DeJager added four.

Dawson Springs was paced by Baylee Swatzell, who scored 11 points.

HCA is off until Dec. 28 when they will play host to Cloverpoint.
