The wins just don’t stop coming for Christian County Public Schools Director of Fine Arts Anthony Darnall, as he has now been named the 2025-26 Kentucky Music Educators Association State High School Teacher of the Year.
After Darnall and the band students of Christian County High School brought home a first-ever state championship during the competitive marching season, Activities Director Kerry Stovall says Darnall seems to be on top of the world right now, and they couldn’t be prouder of Darnall and his well-deserved recognition.
Darnall will be formally recognized in February during the KMEA’s Conference in Louisville.
This isn’t Darnall’s first award of this caliber—he was named a KMEA High School Music Teacher of the Year for the Third District in 2025, 2020 and 2019.
This award also comes with a $500 contribution to support the school’s music program.
