The Hopkinsville Public Works Department is giving the community a heads up, as CSX intends to close a railroad crossing at East Seventh Street starting November 28.
According to an advisory, the closure is to allow for upgrades to the crossing signals and work is expected to run until December 4. Detours and closed streets will be clearly marked.
Motorists are advised to seek alternates routes while this work is conducted.
