The Christian County Colonels placed seven runners in the top 50 and earned a third-place finish in the Graves County Eagle Classic Cross Country Meet Saturday in Mayfield.
Michael Webb paced the Colonels with a ninth-place finish in a time of 17:43.
Wyatt Fleming (11, 17:49.1), Rex Taggart (26, 18.28), Bryce Hamlin (32, 18:46.7), Joseph Parker (40, 19:12.8), Lucas Coates (46, 19:21.8), and Nolen Long (49, 19:26.5) all earned top-50 finishes.
Others competing for the Colonels included JT Miles (61, 19:59.2), Matthew Reevs (65, 20.11.1), Hector Munoz (67, 20:22.5) and Cash Taggart (117, 23.00.08).
Dawson Springs won the boys’ team meet with 54 points followed by Paducah Tilghman (86) and Christian County (103).
Meanwhile, the Lady Colonels had four runners compete led by Taylor Morris, who finished seventh overall with a time of 20:55.2.
Ellie Brown took 28th in 23:28.3. Others running for the Lady Colonels included Aubrey Cline (36, 24:29.6) and Lilly Collins (65, 29:35.9).
Graves County won the girls’ team event with 42 points, followed by McCracken County (61), Dawson Springs (74) and Hopkinsville (81).
Both the Colonels and Lady Colonels runners will be participating in the Class 3-A, Region 1 meet Saturday at Marshall County.
In the girls’ middle school race, Gracelyn Clark finished seventh overall for Christian County in a time of 19:40.2.
Lia Beckham was 16th in 21:09.4 and Sophia Wyatt finished 18th in 21:13.7.
