It was a big day for Christian County’s Cayden Cline on Saturday at the Madisonville Classic cross country meet.
The sophomore won the boys’ high school division race with a personal-record time of 17:23.32 for the 5K course.
In the girls’ race, Christian County’s Mai Castillo took home a 34th-place finish.
Christian County’s Lucas Coates ran a close runner-up to UHA’s Ronan Croney-Sallie in the middle school boys’ race. The Colonels’ Bryce Hamlin medaled in fourth place.
Other Colonels in the middle school race included Myron Reeves (22), Cash Taggart (43), Elliot Davidson (82) as the team finished fourth.
The Lady Colonels took fifth as a team in the middle school division led by Mia Gbemedu, who finished 12th. Gracelyn Clark was 25th followed by Eliza McLaughlin (57), Lexi Cavinder (58), Britany Martinez (61), and Asiabell Coleman (65).
