Two more Christian County High School baseball players put their name on the dotted line and signed national letters-of-intent to extend their baseball careers in college.
Seniors Blake Boehman and Andrew Mayes were joined by teammates, family and friends during a ceremony Friday afternoon in the school’s library.
For Boehman, who plays first base and sees time in the outfield, Friday was a dream come true as he signed with Culver-Stockton College.
Boehman is coming off a 2025 season when he hit .295 with a home run and 18 RBI. He also stole 12 bases.
Boehman said he liked the competitive culture at Culver-Stockton, which is located in Canton, Mo.
Meanwhile, Mayes, a pitcher and catcher, has not played a regular season game for the Colonels. He was the Hopkinsville High School ace last year with a 3-6 record and 1.80 ERA. The right-hander also led the Tigers in strikeouts with 53 in 58 1/3 innings of work.
Mayes, who transferred to Christian County this year, said he was grateful for the opportunity to continue his baseball career at Rend Lake College, a well-known and successful junior college program in Ina, Ill.
Mayes said Rend Lake’s reputation for getting players to the next level was one of the main reasons he was attracted to the school.
Christian County Head Baseball Coach Cole Isom said both players have worked hard at their craft to get this opportunity.
Christian County has had three players sign college baseball scholarships before the first pitch of the 2026 season. Gage Montes signed with Freed-Hardeman in November.
Boehman said he planned to study communications, and Mayes will be majoring in mechanical engineering.
