While killing time before her granddaughter’s soccer game, a Clarksville woman bought a couple scratch-off lottery tickets and won $30,000 on Saturday.
The woman, who has chosen to stay anonymous, says she bought a two-dollar ticket and a three-dollar ticket and was not expecting much. She began scratching off the Trick or Treat Ticket at her granddaughter’s game and each of the 10 spots showed $3,000.
After checking with a friend, she found that she won all 10 prizes for a grand total of $30,000, which was around $21,600 after taxes. The woman says she plans to use the money to do some traveling as well as support her church back home.
In 2025, the Kentucky Lottery has awarded more than $1.6 billion in prizes and the proceeds from ticket purchases has funded scholarships and grants for Kentucky college students.
