Clarksville woman suffers injuries in single-vehicle wreck

A single-vehicle accident on Howard Dickerson Road resulted in injuries on Sunday.

Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 2400 block of the road for reports of a collision. At the scene, deputies found that a vehicle driven by Heather Duke of Clarksville had gone off the roadway and into a ditch before striking a tree.

Duke was reportedly removed from her car by someone passing by the scene of the wreck. She was then transported to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for her injuries.

A preliminary investigation reportedly revealed that Duke was driving eastbound down the road at around 50 to 65 MPH before driving off the road for an unknown reason. Deputies also reportedly found no brake marks showing that Duke tried to stop before the wreck.
