The Clarksville Police Department is investigating after a woman was shot in the leg at the Heritage Park basketball courts Saturday.
According to police, officers responded to the basketball courts around 7 p.m. for calls of a shooting and approximately five minutes after arriving, officers were called to Casey’s General Store on Peachers Mill Road for a female victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
She was taken by private vehicle to Tennova Medical Center, where she is reported to be in stable condition, with her injury thought to be non-life-threatening.
Investigation determined that unknown individuals at the basketball courts started randomly shooting and that’s when the victim was struck in the leg.
Police are asking that anyone in the immediate area of Heritage Park, Peachers Mill Road and Pince Mountain Road review their doorbell or security camera footage to see if their cameras caught any individuals or vehicles fleeing the area during that shooting timeframe.
