Thanks to a donation from Vested Interest in K9’s, Inc. a K9 unit with the Clarksville Police Department will be safer.
The non-profit donated a bullet and stab proof vest for K9 Saban to use, outfitted with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed”. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and National Institute of Justice certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 6,225 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states, made possible by both private and corporate donations.
Each vest weighs an average of five pounds, comes with a five-year warranty and has a value of $1,800.
