A Clarksville man has been indicted and arrested on charges related to the death of an infant from September of last year.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, on September 10 of 2023, the Department of Children’s Services notified police of a suspected child abuse case that had sent a two-month-old baby to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for treatment. Three days later, the infant died as a result of his injuries, which sparked a homicide investigation.
In July of this year, a Montgomery County Grand Jury returned and indictment for first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse against 51-year-old Vincent Edward Coleman of Clarksville.
He was arrested and lodged in the Montgomery County Jail.
