Clarksville cuts to ribbon on new Tennessee Valley Healthcare System VA Clinic

Healthcare only continues to grow in the Clarksville, Montgomery County Tennessee region, and that held true recently as the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System opened a new Veterans Affairs Clinic.

The new Montgomery County VA Clinic is officially open for patients as officials cut the ribbon last week, offering veterans in the area expanded access to all kinds of healthcare. Executive Director Carrie Fox says this is bringing new opportunities to seek healthcare more local to their homes, without having to make that drive to Nashville, and with Clarksville growing rapidly, it only makes sense.

She says this will expand primary care options in the reason, while benefiting those who have made sacrifices untold for this country.

Dr. Nicole Saloom called it a dream come true, saying expanded services were much needed in this area, with Fort Campbell calls this region home and through it, veterans who do the same.

She detailed the expansion, saying veterans will have been access to not just primary care, but mental health services, dietitians and numerous other specialists.

Montgomery County is the fastest growing area with the Veteran enrollment rate expected to grow by 41 percent, or 39,500 patients, by 2035. The hope is the TVHS will have a new, more modern facility, by 2030.

Attendees were able to go on tours of the facility, meeting with care providers and physicians.
