Christian Fiscal Court made quick work of their agenda Tuesday morning, approves grants, payments for library renovations and bids for a radio tower.
Renovations continue at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, and two payments were approved by magistrates for that project, before turning their attention to a grant agreement for a ‘Project Hamilton’. No details were discussed during Fiscal Court, but magistrates approved the measure that would approve a grant in the amount of $1 million.
Then, they approved two bids to pave the way for expansion and boosting of the emergency services radio system, the first in the amount of $110,900 and the second for electric services, halo ground, generators and automatic transfers switches at four sites in the amount of $7,500.
Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham detailed the tower construction timeline.
Christian County Regional Animal Shelter Director Melissa Goff gave the monthly report, highlighting that the shelter took in 469 animals during the month of October, and 304 were either rescued or adopted.
In other action, magistrates approved a supplemental payment to go to the Christian County Clerk’s Office.
