A man is facing numerous charges following an incident on Saturday at the Woodland Heights Apartments in Hopkinsville.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the apartments on Greenville Road for reports of a trespasser. Upon arrival, contact was made with the caller who told deputies that 34-year-old Darius Johnson was in the apartment and when they tried to confront him, Johnson reportedly jumped out of a second story window and fled.Â
He was located a short time later in a separate apartment and taken into custody, though he allegedly resisted during the arrest. A search of his person revealed a baggie with a brown, crushed up substance.
Johnson is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespassing, third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, public intoxication, possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal mischief.
