It’s graduation season and the Christian County Public School System announced that Kevin Crider will be the commencement speaker for Christian County High School and Kim Batts will be the commencement speaker for Hopkinsville High School.
Crider is the assistant superintendent for CCPS and began his career with the school system in 1999 at Christian County High School, his alma mater. Before taking on his current role, Crider served as the principal CCHS. He was also the consolidation coordinator overseeing the construction of the consolidated Christian County High School.
Batts is also a graduate of CCHS and has worked in the school system for 34 years. She currently teaches middle and high school students at Cumberland Hall School. Batts also sponsors multiple student organizations and initiatives including leadership programs, service clubs and faith-based groups.
Graduation day is May 23 at the Stadium of Champions. CCHS seniors will graduate at 5 p.m. and HHS seniors will graduate at 8:30 p.m.
