CCHS to induct 2026 Hall of Fame Class on Friday night

Christian County High School is preparing to induct its 2026 Hall of Fame Class Friday night in between the girls’ and boys’ games against Hopkinsville High School.

The school inducted a class last fall but Hall of Fame Committee member David Joiner said on the Early Bird Show on Monday that the committee wanted to get another class in for the last year of the school.

This year’s class includes supporter Barbara Hale Baker, football players VaShun Banks, wrestling coach Robert Burham, wrestlers Damien Leavell and Desmond Wilford, softball players Sarah Driver Cleland and Tiffany Tandy McGee (also basketball), baseball players Scott Noisworthy and Ronnie Young, track and cross country runner Sean Hurd, basketball player and track athlete Brandon Oldham, as well as the 2004 state champion baseball team and 2011 state champion basketball team.

Although Christian County and Hopkinsville are consolidating into the Christian County Tigers this fall, Christian County Public Schools Activities Director Kerry Stovall, who also was a guest on the Early Bird show, said the hall of fames at Christian County and Hopkinsville will continue after the new high school opens.

Friday night’s festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with a program for the inductees in the school library, followed by a short recognition ceremony. The new class will be introduced between the girls’ and boys’ games.

The girls’ game will air at 5:45 p.m. and the boys’ game will air around 7:30 p.m. The Christian County version of the games will be on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com. The Hopkinsville version of the games will be on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM WHOP.
