After months of rehearsals, Campanile Productions is inviting the community to the historic Alhambra Theatre for a production of “Legally Blonde: The Musical.”
The musical follows Elle Woods as she enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, but ends up developing a passion for law. Jeff Riggs from Campanile says the musical follows the same plot as the movie “Legally Blonde,” but has a whole lot more music.
During the casting process, Campanile put out the call for a Chihuahua to play Elle’s canine companion, Bruiser Woods. They found a furry fella to play the role, and Riggs says one of the first dogs that auditioned tried to bite him.
The musical will be showing at the Alhambra from March 12 to March 15. However, on March 11, Riggs says they will be hosting a pay-what-you-can showing of the musical, where folks can come in and make a donation to see the show.
Tickets and more information about the musical are available at campanileproductions.com.
