When floodwaters swept across Christian County in 2025, homes and businesses were severely damaged, leaving many people to rebuild or move. The folks at Camo Caravan decided to salvage what they could and reopen the restaurant in downtown Hopkinsville.
Camo Caravan, co-owned by military veterans Jason Coy and Eric Hardin, opened in Hopkinsville in 2022 and has become known for its burgers, sandwiches and much more.
The restaurant was originally located on North Drive between West 7th Street between Glass Avenue. In the morning on April 4, that portion of North Drive looked more like a river than a roadway.
The restaurant was a total loss, and Coy says they had two options: give up or scout out a new location for the restaurant, and they came across the downtown location, which once housed the Hopkinsville Bourbon Society.
After nearly eight months of work to transform the new space into Camo Caravan, the restaurant opened on December 31 with a New Year’s Eve party. Coy says the party was a chance for them to emphasize their new drink menu, and since then, the restaurant has been quite busy.
Coy also calls the relocation an upgrade. Camo Caravan now has a bar and patio and is much larger than the North Drive location. The restaurant has three separate dining areas inside as well as a play area for the kiddos.
Camo Caravan is located at 1016 South Main Street and is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant’s menu is available at Camo Caravan on Facebook.
