Following a collision between a school bus and passenger car on Tuesday, Hopkinsville Police charged Anthony Harris of Hopkinsville with careless driving and failing to yield to the right of way.
The wreck reportedly occurred as Harris was driving the bus onto North Drive, leaving the Freedom Elementary School parking lot. A truck traveling on North Drive collided with the front of the bus and the driver was transported to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for internal injuries.
Harris was not injured nor were any of the students on the bus. Investigating officers reviewed surveillance video from the Christian County Baptist Association Building and it reportedly showed that Harris failed to yield to the right of way leading to the collision.
