Brice Long’s Back 2 Back Benefit Concert returns to the Alhambra

After raising over $100,000 last year to support local families, Brice Long and some of his friends are coming back to town to put on a show for the annual Back 2 Back Foundation Benefit Concert.

Country music artist and songwriter Brice Long is a native of Hopkinsville and established the Back 2 Back Foundation in 2005. Each year since then, he has hosted a benefit concert to raise money to purchase gifts for families in need in Christian, Todd and Trigg Counties during the holiday season.

Long recently appeared on WHOP and shared that the upcoming benefit concert will include country music songwriters Trannie Anderson, Ryan Larkins and Marv Green. Anderson has written for Lainey Wilson, Reba and Dan + Shay; Green has written for George Strait, Carrie Underwood and Bon Jovi and Larkins has written for Rhet Atkins, Ben Hayslip and Bill Anderson.

The trio will spotlight and sing some of the songs they have written. Along with the concert, Long says there will be a silent auction that will include a guitar signed by fellow country artists and handwritten lyrics from Anderson, Green and Larkins.

Funds from the silent auction will also go toward the foundation. Long says the foundation is in its 21st year and it has greatly grown. During the foundation’s first year, Long says they were able to support five families but thanks the community they were able to support around 127 families across three counties last year during the holidays.

Along with providing gifts for families, Long says the foundation has donated to the Hopkinsville Rotary Auction, the Hopkinsville Boys and Girls Club and provided backpacks for local students.

Long says less than 200 tickets are available for the benefit concert and encourages folks to purchase them before they sell out. The Back 2 Back Foundation Benefit Concert will take over the Alhambra Theatre on Saturday, July 12 at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at pennyroyalrts.org.
