Boys’ District 8 Soccer Tournament resumes tonight

The Boys’ District 8 Soccer Tournament resumes tonight at the Stadium of Champions.

Top seed Hopkinsville (9-6-1) is scheduled to play No. 4 seed Christian County (3-12) at 5:30 p.m. The Colonels advanced to tonight’s game with a 7-2 win over Heritage Christian Academy on Saturday.

Tonight’s game will be the last soccer match between Hopkinsville and Christian County. The two schools are set to consolidate next fall.

According to the bracket released at the district meeting last month at Christian County High School, No. 2 seed University Heights Academy (14-5) will meet No. 3 seed Fort Campbell (4-8) at 7 p.m. today.

Should tonight’s games get rained out, Christian County High School officials said Monday night that the games would be postponed to Wednesday night. Check the WHOP Facebook page today for any updates.

The boys’ tournament championship is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Stadium of Champions.

Tickets will be $10 and must be purchased online at Gofan.com. Children ages 5-and-under will be admitted free.
