The semifinals are set for the Boys’ Region 2 All “A” Soccer Tournament tonight after University Heights Academy blitzed host Lyon County 8-0 Monday night at Lee S. Jones Park.
Hayden Hunt scored the first three goals for the Blazers and the floodgates opened after that as the game was called due to the mercy rule at halftime.
Clayton Lester, Harlow Hampton, Lincoln Hauret, Cal Givens and Jayden Williams also scored for the Blazers. Logan Miller had an assist for UHA.
Eli Finch and Hayden Fitzsimmons teamed for the shutout in goal.
UHA will take on Heritage Christian Academy in the second semifinal game tonight at Lyon County. Fort Campbell will meet Caldwell County in the first game, scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
The championship game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Campbell.
