It will be a rematch of the 2025 Region 2 All “A” Baseball Tournament championship and Region 2 title game tonight when the University Heights Academy Blazers face Lyon County in the All “A” region semifinals in Princeton.
The Blazers are 10-2 and received a forfeit win over Dawson Springs to reach the semifinals. Lyon County advanced with a 10-0, six-inning win over Heritage Christian Academy Monday night in Eddyville.
Last year the Lyons overcame a 6-0 deficit in the bottom of the seventh inning to stun the Blazers 9-8 in 12 innings. Lyon then defeated UHA 5-1 in the Region 2 championship game.
Lyon County enters tonight’s game with a 5-5 record.
Tonight’s game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Airtime will be at 6:45 p.m. on 95.3 The Farm and 953thefarm.com.
In the other All “A” Region 2 quarterfinals on Monday, Caldwell County routed Fort Campbell 16-1 and Crittenden County defeated Livingston Central 12-2. The Tigers and Rockets will meet in tonight’s first semifinal at 5:30 p.m.
